Announcement for patrons attending THE SOUND OF MUSIC at High Point Theatre
Construction on Commerce Ave.
During a project by Andmore to renovate the exterior of High Point Theatre, East Commerce Avenue between South Wrenn Street and South Hamilton Street will be closed during our production of The Sound of Music. Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic. There is also scaffolding on the Commerce Ave. side of the Theatre. There is a walkway in the scaffolding for patrons to enter the front doors. They will have one lane of the Mendenhall Transportation Terminal open for passenger drop-off and limited handicap parking. To access the Terminal, enter on Wrenn St., just before Commerce Ave. They will have off-duty HP PD officers at each performance. Please check with the officer out front if you need parking information. Please allow extra time to allow for delays caused by this construction.
Driving Instructions: If coming from North Main St., Turn Left on High St. (The light before Commerce) and turn Right on Wrenn. This will allow you to turn left into the Terminal and avoid the Detour.
