Ages 15+ ** If you are auditioning and are under age 18, you will need to have a parent/guardian present to sign a form prior to your audition (this is a separate form from the audition form, which also requires a parent/guardian signature). **

Please prepare a 30-60 second, memorized musical selection in the style of the show. An accompanist will be available so please provide your own sheet music in the correct key. A sound system will be available for those using a track, but it is not preferred. A capella auditions are strongly discouraged.

There will be a general dance audition so please have comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. Ladies - please wear character heels.

Welcome to the infamous Kit Kat Klub, where the Emcee, Sally Bowles and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd – and to leave their troubles outside. But as life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain, will the decadent allure of Berlin nightlife be enough to get themthrough their dangerous times? Come hear some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Cabaret,” “Willkommen” and “Maybe This Time.” Leave your troubles outside – life is beautiful at CABARET…

Emcee: Master of Ceremonies of the Kit Kat Klub; an androgynous, flamboyant figure; dark, comedic, sexy, sinister, vulgar…yet lovable; requires a strong presence that is playful and mysterious. German accent. Must move well. Vocal range: C3 to high C#5.

Sally Bowles: cabaret singer at the Kit Kat Klub. Quirky and flighty. Struggles with knowing the darkness of the reality of her life. Must move well. British accent. Vocal range: A3-C5

Fräulein Schneider: landlady who rents to Cliff and several other characters. German accent. Vocal range: D3-A-flat4

Herr Schultz: a Jewish fruit shop owner who falls in love with Fraulein Schneider; sweet, lovable, and adoring; heartbreakingly naïve about the political turmoil in Germany; comfortable with stage movement and light dance. German accent. Vocal range: low G-high F.

Fräulein Kost: a prostitute who rents in Fraulein Schneider's boarding house; larger than life personality, quick witted and sharp tongued. German accent. Sings in German. Vocal Range: low A flat-high F.

Ernst Ludwig: takes English lessons from Cliff and smuggles money for the Nazi Party. Friendly and likeable. Age: flexible. German accent. Vocal range: flexible.

Kit Kat Girls: strong singers in all voice parts. Also parts of various scenes outside of the Klub. Age, race, appearance flexible – must be comfortable with scanty costumes and sexualized movement. Excellent dance skills necessary. Rosie, LuLu, Frenchie, Fritzie, Helga. (Texas is precast). LuLu will be in “Two Ladies.” Frenchie will be the gorilla in “If You Could See Her.”
